"Sophie! Sophie! Sophie-Rose answer me young lady!"
"Ughh..."
"That's not even english young lady now get that backside out of bed now, breakfast is ready"
The door of my bedroom slammed shut and my head snapped up from my pillow, all I could see was red. Oh my god...was I bleeding?! I tried to clamber out of bed and ended up with my face pressed against the floor. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree I guess. I picked myself up, I could still only see red, I reached up to touch my face and realised it was only my hair. I bent forward letting my hair spill over my head like a long red waterfall, I swung my head back and my hair whipped backwards.
"Ahh that's better" I smiled and headed downstairs for breakfast.
I walked into the kitchen and my Mum smiled at me amused.
"Ahh..so you're finally up then" she giggled.
"Only cause you bloody yelled .." I yawned and sat down at the table.
A hand pressed down on the top of mt head then ruffled my hair.
"Mornin' sleepy head" a voice chuckled.
I looked up and saw my big brother grinning at me, his hand still on my head, I slapped his hand away and pouted.
"Mornin' to you too ya bloody git" I said and smoothed back down my hair.
"Caleb, leave ya sister alone and sit down" Mum giggled.
"Sorry Mum" he chuckled and sat down next to me.
Just then another set of footsteps entered the room, I turned to see Dad coming into the kitchen running a hand through his messy blonde hair.
"Mornin' Dad" I smiled.
"Mornin' Soph" he smiled back and kissed the top of my head.
"Hey Dad" Caleb smiled.
"Mornin' Caleb" Dad replied and ruffled his hair.
He walked over to Mum and wrapped his arms around her waist then gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Mornin' May" I heard him say, his voice a little softer.
"Mornin' hun" Mum replied in the same soft way.
She turned towards him and kissed him properly.
"Please, not in public guys" I giggled, shielding my eyes.
"Oh Soph, you'll be doing this with ya husband when you're older" Mum giggled.
"Yeah, but I won't have a bloody snog with him in front of my kids" I grinned amused.
"Oi! Cheeky" Mum laughed.
"Muuuuum, where's breakfast, I'm hungry" Caleb pouted, shifting in his seat looking like an impatient child.
"Its coming Caleb" Mum said and finally put breakfast on the table.
"Yaay! Pancakes!" I cheered and grabbed the syrup bottle.
I swear syrup was made by the dessert gods, it was freaking amazing and it was awesome on panca-..annnd I'm getting off topic.

After syru-..I mean breakfast, I headed back upstairs to get ready for the day. I walked over to my mirror and stared into it, my reflection stared back. I flipped my hair over my shoulders, it tumbled down just below my waist. I looked a lot like my Mum when my hair was down, except my hair was now dyed bright red, I just fancied a change. I brushed my hair and tied it up into my usual high pony tail and smiled at my reflection. Then my eyes diverted to the brand new uniform hanging up on my wardrobe door and my smile grew. I was about to start my own adventure like my Mum, Maya Frankish did before me...
